SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS (September 18, 2026) — Hunter Advisors (Hunter) announced the sale of the Westin San Antonio North, a 326-room hotel located in San Antonio, Texas. The transaction was brokered by Kami Burnette, Senior Vice President, and Riana Stadlen, Vice President, at Hunter. Regionally based buyer, Amethyst Hospitality Group, LP, acquired the hotel.
“We are thrilled to facilitate the sale of the Westin on behalf of our institutional client,” said Kami Burnette, Senior Vice President at Hunter. “The buyer recognized the opportunity to acquire the only full-service hotel proximate to USAA’s headquarters with a strategic plan to renovate and re-position the hotel to increase market penetration.”
Built in 1985 and located at 9821 Colonnade Boulevard, the 19-story hotel sits just off I-10 in San Antonio’s Northwest submarket and offers institutional-quality stays designed to serve corporate, group and leisure travelers. The property completed a comprehensive renovation of its meeting and public spaces in 2019 and converted to the Westin brand in 2021. The hotel features approximately 24,979 square feet of flexible meeting and event space, including a 9,867-square-foot Grand Ballroom accommodating gatherings of up to 1,500 guests.
“The Westin San Antonio North represents a compelling investment opportunity given its strategic location within one of San Antonio’s most established corporate and medical corridors,” said Riana Stadlen, Vice President at Hunter. “With its proximity to major demand generators, strong access to I-10, and substantial meeting and event space, the hotel is well positioned to benefit from the continued growth of the Northwest submarket and broader San Antonio market.”
The hotel sits within one of the city’s dominant suburban office corridors, directly across the street from USAA’s 286-acre headquarters campus, which is currently undergoing a $156 million expansion, and in proximity to Valero Energy’s corporate headquarters. The 900-acre South Texas Medical Center, home to nine major medical institutions and more than 30,000 employees, is located less than three miles from the hotel, and the University of Texas at San Antonio, which enrolls approximately 42,000 students, is five miles away.
The broader San Antonio market is experiencing significant growth, supported by billions of dollars in infrastructure investment, including a $2.5 billion airport expansion and Project Marvel, a major sports and entertainment district anchored by a new Spurs arena and an expansion of the Henry B. González Convention Center.
