WEST HOMESTEAD, PA (November 2, 2026) — Hunter Advisors (Hunter) announced the sale of the Courtyard by Marriott Pittsburgh West Homestead Waterfront, a 94-room hotel located in West Homestead, Pennsylvania. David Perrin, Senior Vice President brokered the transaction. Raga Hospitality Corp acquired the hotel in partnership with Kalyan Hospitality who will manage the hotel.
“This transaction reflects the importance of long-term relationships on both sides of the table,” said David Perrin, Senior Vice President at Hunter Advisors. “We’ve had the privilege of selling multiple hotels for this institutional owner, and we value our long-standing relationship with Kalyan Hospitality, a repeat buyer that consistently executes smoothly from contract to close. That kind of trust and certainty is what allows a deal like this to move efficiently. Alongside Raga Hospitality, Kalyan is acquiring a well-located, Marriott-branded asset at the center of The Waterfront’s continued reinvestment, with Pittsburgh’s deep medical, university and technology demand providing a strong foundation for long-term growth.”
Built in 2005 and located at 401 W Waterfront Drive, the four-story hotel rises along the Monongahela River on the former Homestead Steel Works site, now home to The Waterfront, one of the region’s leading open-air retail, dining and entertainment destinations. Guestrooms range from king rooms with sofa beds and double queen rooms to river-view rooms with balconies and one-bedroom suites, designed to serve business and leisure travelers alike. The Bistro serves breakfast with specialty Starbucks beverages each morning, followed by evening dinner and cocktails, and the hotel also features approximately 1,000 square feet of meeting space across two rooms, a 24-hour fitness center and a business center.
“We are thrilled to announce the acquisition of the Courtyard Pittsburgh West Homestead. We appreciate the opportunity to work with David Perrin and the entire Hunter Advisor’s Team throughout this transaction and are excited to expand Kalyan Hospitality’s presence into the Pittsburgh market. We look forward to building on the hotel’s success and continuing our commitment to delivering exceptional hospitality experiences for our guests,” said Raga Hospitality Corp.
The hotel sits at the center of The Waterfront’s ongoing reinvestment. AMC Waterfront 22 completed a multi-million-dollar renovation in November 2025 and signed a long-term lease extension, and approximately two acres between the theater and Costco are planned for multifamily and complementary commercial redevelopment directly across from the hotel. Kennywood, which draws approximately 1.2 million visitors annually, and Downtown Pittsburgh are also close by.
Beyond the waterfront, the broader Pittsburgh market offers a deep and diversified demand base, anchored by UPMC, which employs more than 100,000 people, and the University of Pittsburgh, alongside a growing technology and robotics sector driven by Carnegie Mellon University.
