MIAMI (August 10, 2026) — Hunter Advisors (Hunter) announced the sale of the Hampton Inn Miami Airport East, a 127-room Hampton by Hilton hotel located in Miami, Florida. The transaction was brokered by Sophia Pittaluga, Senior Vice President, and Robert Taylor, Executive Vice President, on behalf of the seller. The buyer is AON Hospitality Group.
Built in 2017, the five-story Hampton Inn Miami Airport East offers an above-brand-standard guest experience with VTAC systems in every guestroom, high ceilings, and larger-than-typical room layouts. Guest amenities include complimentary hot breakfast, an outdoor pool, fitness center, business center, complimentary Wi-Fi, and approximately 748 square feet of meeting space. The hotel also offers on-site parking and is well suited to both business and leisure travelers.
“Miami continues to be one of the most competitive hotel investment markets we track, and this transaction was no exception as we saw significant interest from buyers throughout the process,” said Sophia Pittaluga, Senior Vice President at Hunter. “This transaction reflects confidence in Miami’s long-term fundamentals and the opportunity buyers continue to see in assets that are positioned to benefit from both established business demand and the region’s ongoing growth, particularly with catalysts like Miami Freedom Park to drive investor interest in this submarket. It was great to represent the seller, and we’re excited to see Gary and the AON team achieve great success with their first South Florida property.”
Strategically located approximately adjacent to Miami International Airport, the hotel provides convenient access to Downtown Miami, Brickell, Coral Gables, the Miami Health District, Wynwood Arts District, PortMiami, South Beach, and other major commercial and leisure destinations. The property is also positioned less than one mile from the new Miami Freedom Park, a $1 billion mixed-use entertainment district anchored by Inter Miami CF’s future stadium, which is expected to generate significant year-round visitation.
“We are excited to acquire this hotel in Miami and look forward to growing in the South Florida market in the upcoming years,” said Gary Patel, President at AON Hospitality Group. “We believe Miami is one of the most dynamic and vibrant markets, and this investment aligns with our underwriting criteria. With the growth of the Miami Airport, the Freedom Park addition, the Miami Financial District, and overall investments that are being made in this market, the synergy that Miami has is incredible.”
Miami remains one of the country’s premier hospitality markets, serving as the cultural, financial, and commercial center of South Florida. The metropolitan area welcomes approximately 28 million visitors annually and is home to more than 1,000 multinational corporations. Miami International Airport continues to strengthen the region’s long-term lodging demand through a $9 billion capital improvement program, while major developments and international sporting events continue to reinforce the market’s global appeal.
